Glorifying God in the Church by Serving One Another

Day 1: Seeing the Harvest

Scripture: Luke 9:10–11 | Focus: Seeing people through Jesus’ eyes

Jesus looks at the crowds and doesn’t turn them away. He sees their need, their hunger, and their openness to God’s kingdom. Where others see inconvenience, Jesus sees opportunity. Discipleship begins when our eyes are trained to notice what Jesus notices.

We often rush past people’s spiritual hunger because we’re distracted, tired, or focused on ourselves. But Jesus invites us to slow down and see the harvest that’s already around us.

Reflect
  • Where do you tend to overlook spiritual hunger in your daily life?
  • What would change if you asked Jesus to help you see people the way He does?
Prayer: Jesus, open my eyes to the harvest around me. Help me see people with Your compassion and purpose. Amen.

Day 2: Bringing What We Have

Scripture: Luke 9:12–17 | Focus: Offering our limited resources to Jesus

The disciples focus on what they don’t have. Jesus asks them to bring what they do have. When they place it in His hands, it becomes more than enough.

God doesn’t wait for us to feel prepared or fully equipped. He invites us to offer what we already have—our time, our words, our willingness—and trust Him with the results.

Reflect
  • What “not enough” thoughts hold you back from serving?
  • What is one small thing you can place in Jesus’ hands today?
Prayer: Lord, take what I have and use it for Your purposes. Help me trust You with what feels insufficient. Amen.

Day 3: Sent, Not Just Saved

Scripture: Luke 10:1–3 | Focus: Every disciple is a sent one

Jesus doesn’t just call people to follow Him—He sends them out. Being a disciple means participating in God’s mission, not spectating from the sidelines.

You may not feel like a missionary, but if you follow Jesus, you are sent into your everyday spaces with His authority and purpose.

Reflect
  • How does knowing you are “sent” reshape your understanding of discipleship?
  • Where has God already placed you to represent Him?
Prayer: Jesus, help me live with the awareness that I am sent by You. Use me where I am today. Amen.

Day 4: Prayer Moves the Mission

Scripture: Luke 10:2 | Focus: Prayer before action

Before Jesus tells the disciples to go, He tells them to pray. The mission doesn’t start with strategy—it starts on our knees. Prayer aligns our hearts with God’s work and reminds us that the harvest belongs to Him.

Reflect
  • How intentional are you about praying for God’s mission?
  • Who could you begin praying for by name?
Prayer: Lord of the harvest, raise up workers and make me willing to be one. Teach me to depend on You through prayer. Amen.

Day 5: Better Together

Scripture: Luke 10:1 | Focus: Mission in community

Jesus sends the disciples out in pairs. Mission was never meant to be a solo effort. Community brings encouragement, accountability, and shared joy. We grow stronger when we serve alongside others.

Reflect
  • Who walks with you in your faith journey?
  • How can you invite others into God’s mission with you?
Prayer: God, thank You for the gift of community. Help me walk in faith alongside others, not alone. Amen.

Day 6: Trusting God on the Way

Scripture: Luke 10:4–7 | Focus: Faith over comfort

Jesus sends the disciples out without extra provisions, teaching them to rely on God instead of security. Faith grows when we choose obedience over comfort and trust God to provide along the way.

Reflect
  • What comforts or securities are hardest for you to let go of?
  • Where might God be calling you to trust Him more deeply?
Prayer: Father, help me trust You even when the path feels uncertain. Teach me to depend on You daily. Amen.

Day 7: Living Sent Every Day

Scripture: Luke 10:9–12 | Focus: Carrying the mission into everyday life

Jesus calls His disciples to show and tell—to demonstrate the kingdom of God through both words and actions. Living sent means consistently asking, “Jesus, what are You already doing here—and how can I join You?”

Reflect
  • What does living “sent” look like in your everyday routine?
  • What is one intentional step you could take this week to join Jesus in His mission?
Prayer: Jesus, help me live on mission every day. Let my life reflect Your kingdom in both word and action. Amen.
