Scripture: I Peter 4:10-11

  1. Serve One Another with the Right Heart (v. 10a)
    • Key Ideas: Ministry flows from a willing and humble heart; every believer is gifted by God.
    • When you hear “serve with the right heart,” what does that mean to you personally?
    • Do you see yourself more as a servant or a consumer in your church? Why?
    • How might serving with the right heart change the culture of your church?
  2. Steward God’s Grace Faithfully (v. 10b)
    • Key Ideas: Gifts are entrusted by God; stewardship is worship, not ownership.
    • How does viewing your gifts as “trusts from God” rather than “possessions” change the way you serve?
    • Are there gifts or abilities you’ve been holding back? Why?
    • How can our group encourage one another to faithfully administer God’s grace in practical ways?
    • How can stewardship of gifts glorify God even when no one notices?
  3. Serve in God’s Strength, Not Your Own (v. 11a)
    • Key Ideas: God provides power for speaking and serving; ministry that glorifies God depends on divine strength.
    • Where in your service or ministry do you rely on your own strength rather than God’s?
    • How can our group support one another in relying on God’s strength in ministry?
    • Why do you think ministry fueled by human effort alone often leads to burnout?
  4. Live for God’s Glory Above All (v. 11b)
    • Key Ideas: The ultimate aim of ministry is God’s glory; recognition is secondary.
    • When was a time you served but felt unnoticed or unappreciated? How did you handle it?
    • How can focusing on God’s glory instead of recognition affect the way we interact with others in church?
